Reunions

Decade Reunions are held each year, in conjunction with the Spring Carnival celebration. The Carnegie Mellon Alumni Association offers decades and interest groups the opportunity to organize reunions. These reunions provide alumni from the same decade the chance to celebrate with fellow alumni and friends. For information about your reunion or to get involved in planning, please contact us.

50th Reunion

The 50th Reunion is an important landmark for every alumnus/a. The university takes great pride in welcoming our 50th Reunion celebrants to Spring Carnival each year, and honors each alumnus/a individually during a Medallion Ceremony, which in a highlight of this reunion. A special 50th Reunion Memory Book also is published for the occasion. Medallions and memory books are mailed to those alumni who are unable to attend the celebration.

Alumni Interest Group Reunions

Alumni Interest reunions reconnect alumni with a common interest or affinity to the university. These reunions may be based on residence houses/halls, vocal ensembles, student clubs, or athletic programs, among others. Reunions for these groups are usually based on the anniversaries of when the groups were established and may occur at either Spring Carnival or Cèilidh Weekend. Alumni who would like to plan a reunion for their group can contact Monica Varela for more information.

Start a Chapter

One of the most popular ways to reconnect with the university is through Regional Alumni Chapters. The Alumni Association works with alumni volunteers to build and maintain robust alumni chapters in areas across the country and around the world. For more information on active alumni chapters as well as information about starting a chapter in your area, visit the chapters page.

I’m looking for an old college roommate or friend. Can you help me?

Absolutely we can help you. The Online Directory is an excellent resource for finding friends with whom you may have lost contact. To access the directory, log in and select Online Directory in the Online Community tab. If you cannot find someone there, please contact the Alumni Association.

I would like a contact list of my graduating class.

The university maintains an alumni database for personal and individual communications among alumni and for official university purposes. For these reasons, we provide lists of groups of alumni only to the recognized volunteer leaders of those groups. So if you are a leader of your class or interest group and need a list, we are happy to provide one. Otherwise, we ask that you work through your groups’ organized leadership.
