Alumni Interest Groups

Alumni Interest Groups (AIGs) are organizations comprised of alumni and friends of Carnegie Mellon who have common interests around student organizations, or common cultural interest, or professional interest.

Alumni Interest Groups are formed around at least one of the following criteria:

  • Former membership in an officially recognized student organization (past or present)
  • A shared personal characteristic (such as ethnicity or culture)
  • A shared post-graduate professional experience (such as entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, etc.)
