REGISTRATION AND ATTENDEE INFORMATION Click to expand

Do I need to pre-register? What is the deadline?
Please note: Online registration will open in February of 2015. An email will be sent to the campus community once pre-registration is open. We highly encourage pre-registration in order to get an accurate room and a food count, although onsite registration is available for events without a capacity limit. Pre-registration will close on Friday, April 10.

Will I receive a confirmation of my pre-registration?
Yes, by providing an email address, you will receive a message confirming details of your pre-registration.

Am I able to see who else is attending?
Yes, once online registration opens in February of 2015, you will be able to may view a list of pre-registrants. In the meantime, please check out the Hoping to Come list.

What should I wear for the weekend?
Casual attire is appropriate for most events throughout the weekend, unless otherwise noted.

Where should I stay near campus?
While our office no longer holds room blocks, we are happy to provide a list of local hotels.

Where should I park on campus?
Due to the influx of alumni returning for Spring Carnival, special parking rules are in effect. Parking is available:

  • Friday: Schenley Golf Course ($5 cash only): 7 am-10 pm
  • Saturday: Parking will be available in the East Campus Garage (no cost) on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Additional parking is available in the Dithridge Street Garage (Weekdays: $12 daily rate; $5 weekends & weekdays after 5 pm) and the Gates Garage (Weekdays: $14 maximum rate; $4 weekends and weekdays after 5 pm).
  • Parking for the disabled available in the East Campus Garage and at the Alumni House. Both locations will require the blue decal being presented (pass or license plate) to utilize the spaces.

Are golf carts and wheel chairs available?
Should you need assistance, please speak with the staff at the Carnival Information Table in the Cohon University Center. If you would like to request a wheelchair in advance, please contact us.

Are there facilities for those with disabilities or special needs (including dietary)?
We want to make sure Carnival is enjoyable, welcoming and accessible for all alumni, families, students, and their guests. If you or any of your guests have special needs, please let us know.

  • In advance: Please contact us via email or 866-401-9529.
  • Onsite: Alert the staff by going to the Carnival Information Table at the Registration & Welcome Area in the Cohon University Center.

Are golf carts and wheel chairs available?

Where is the bookstore located? What are the hours of operation?
The University Bookstore is located on the first floor of the University Center. Visit the University Bookstore online for additional details.

Where should I eat on campus?
In addition to the many activities throughout the weekend that will have food and beverages, if you are looking for a place to eat on campus, be sure to check out the Dining Service website.

May I use the gym?
Guests may use the athletic facilities this weekend by presenting their Spring Carnival Weekend name badge at the Equipment Desk, located on the first floor of the University Center, across from Wiegand Gym. You will receive a wristband and access to locker rooms and facilities, as available (including gymnasium, pools, weight room, racquetball and squash courts).

  • Thursday & Friday: 6 am-2 am
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9 am-2 am

Is there a good spot to "catch up" on campus?
If you would like a quiet space to take a break or catch up with your student or friends, then stop by any of these locations:

Am I able to smoke on campus?
Many areas on campus have been designated smoke-free zones, inclusive of 20 feet proximity to all building entrances. Please adhere to the university policy and the posted smoking areas.

Is wireless available?
All guests will have wireless access, valid from April 16-19, 2015. Check back for code and additional details in February.
