DET - Volunteer Project at Gleaners Community Food Bank

This event is now at capacity. Please contact Lauren Henry at lehenry@andrew.cmu.edu to have your name added to the waiting list.

In support of Carnegie Mellon's 1000+ Day of Service, the Detroit Alumni Chapter invites you to join us to volunteer at the Gleaners Community Food Bank Oakland Distribution Center on Saturday, April 6.

Come out to volunteer with fellow alumni at the Gleaners Community Food Bank Oakland Distribution Center. Projects may include packing weekend bags to supply children of low-income families, packing boxes of assorted goods to be delivered to agency partners (food pantries and soup kitchens), sorting through a large inventory of donated food, folding bags for the Stamp Out Hunger, cleaning, sweeping, and more. Following our shift, we'll enjoy each other's company at a local restaurant or coffee shop. More details will be provided to registered alumni closer to the event.

Space is limited to only 10 people, so please register early!

Cost:
Free to attend.
Though not required, food donations are welcome.
