The Carnegie Mellon Undergraduate Mock Trial Association will host the first annual "Swear Me In, Scotty" Invitational Tournament. Teams from Carnegie Mellon University, American University, Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins University, Northwood University, Ohio State University, Penn State University, Swarthmore University, University of Maryland Baltimore College, and University of Pittsburgh will be attending.
The Association is looking to members of the Law Alumni Network to serve as tournament judges and will need 22 judges per round for rounds on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon. Judges will control the trial proceedings and score the participants on their performance. All judges will be provided with lunch, and the Law Alumni Network has applied for one hour of Pennsylvania CLE credit for a presentation to occur over lunch on both days. The cost of Pennsylvania CLE credit for alumni volunteers will be covered by the Law Alumni Network.
